Front Panel Overview
Figure 1-1 shows the signal generator front panel. This interface enables you to define,
monitor, and manage input and output characteristics.

1. Display
The LCD screen provides information on the current function. Information can include status
indicators, frequency and amplitude settings, and error messages. Labels for the softkeys are
located on the right-hand side of the display. For further description of the front panel display,
refer to “Front Panel Display” on page 14.
2. Softkeys
Softkeys activate the function indicated by the displayed label to the left of each key.
3. Frequency Key
Pressing this hardkey makes frequency the active function. You can change the RF output
frequency or use the menus to configure frequency attributes such as frequency multiplier,
offset, and reference.
