xDSL Layer 1 Testing
The FrameScope Pro supports the following standards.

• ETSI TS 101 388
• ITU-T G.994.1 (Handshake)
• G.992.1 Annex A (ADSL)
• G.992.3 Annex A (ADSL2)
• G.992.5 Annex A (ADSL2+)
• T-Com 1 TR 112 (U-R2)

• G.992.3 Annex B (ADSL2)

The system-under-test needs to perform the following actions.
• Support PPPoE sessions with the PPP protocol.
Ethernet frames have to conform to IEEE802.1Q and
802.1ad.
• Support Ethernet frames with the VLAN tags type a and b,
according to IEEE802.1Q. These are the Ethernet frames,
including the VLAN tag, that is less than 64 bytes.
• Tag the data received at the 10/100 interface. Tags have to be
removed for the data in the direction of the end system.
