File Storage – the Memory Catalog
User’s Guide 5-3
File Storage – the Memory Catalog
The signal generator’s interface
for stored files is the memory
catalog. You can view, copy,
rename and delete files from the
memory catalog either from the
instrument’s front panel or
remotely (for information on
performing these tasks remotely,
see the programming guide).
The Default catalog subcatalogs
contain the following information:
Binary
User files, and any
other binary files
downloaded to the signa l generator.
Bit User file data created/mo dified using the bit editor or downl oaded to the signal generator.
Bit files contain a 10-byte header.
FIR Finite impulse re sponse filter file s that contai n coeffici ent values.
List Data associated with frequency and amplitude sweeps, such as frequency start/stop, dwell
time, sweep type/repeat/trigger, point trigger, mode, direction, and trigger out polarity.
Shape Data associ ated with spec ifying burst shape.
State Data controlling instrument operating state parameters, such as frequency, power level,
and mode.
NOTE ARB catalog files and Modulation catalog files are documented in the
applicable option user’s and programming guide.
Viewing Stored Files
1. Press the Utility hardkey.
2. Press the softkey
