Introduction
The beatnote method for calibrating the Phase Detector Constant requires
two signal sources. Usually one source is used only for calibration. The
calibration source is connected to the phase detector in place of one of
the input signal paths. The output level of the calibration source must be
adjusted to provide exactly the same signal level at the phase detector
input port as will be present during the measurement. The disconnected
signal path should be terminated in 50 ohms to maintain the power level
at the other input port of the phase detector.
